Van Gogh in blue and red
A great friend, whom I have had the pleasure of knowing since 5th grade, sent me some awesome and intriguing images a while back. Jen is a brilliant science type, Ph.D. at Brown, and can talk circles around me when it comes to microbiology and bio-technology, and I’m sure a lot more “ologies.” She sent me the images because she thought they were beautiful and that I would appreciate them. She even mentioned turning them into greeting cards for Christmas.

A shot like the one above is something that I would never see in the course of my typical schedule. I don’t usually hang around microscopes and slide specimens, so it was neat to see this bit of life that is part of Jen’s daily world. She said this particular one reminded her of a Van Gogh painting. It’s just amazing where art can be found. Beauty in something so small, that few get a chance to see; I am glad Jen shared it with me.
