Northern Maine Outdoor School & Services (M.O.S.S.), offers Maine Registered Guide instruction and outdoor recreation guiding. Northern M.O.S.S. needed a logo that would portray its love for the wilderness and its knowledge of how to survive in it. Kevin, owner and Registered Maine Guide, furnished me with some color and element suggestions to “guide” me towards his finished logo.

Who doesn’t occasionally need that extra set of helping hands? Miranda came to DbR with an idea for a logo and a style that would reach back into the past; into a time when a wife’s duties were based in the home. She understands that things are different now, and it is almost a necessity for women to be in the workforce; however, the desire to have a put-together home still exists. Miranda is the missing piece; available when time is not. DbR took a pencil sketch and created the Occasional Housewife logo. Miranda decided that she needed to get her idea out to potential clients, but a standard business card just wouldn’t do. Instead she chose a magnetic card which could be placed on the refrigerator for those household, cleaning, errand emergencies. InSights Professional Guide Services

InSights, a hunting and outdoor recreation guide service in Northern Maine, recently opened for business. Jason Forbes, owner and Registered Maine Guide, decided to start branding with a strong image right from the beginning. Not knowing exactly what he wanted, he handed the design reins over to DbR. Members of the band 454 approached me with their pen-drawn logo. They liked their concept, but didn’t have the ability to utilize it across mediums. Their intentions were to use it as a large stage backdrop, on t-shirts, business cards and flyers. In its original form, that never would have worked. I vectorized the logo using Illustrator and keeping it black and white; true to the original drawing. Once approved, I moved on, adding shading and color, with the results seen here.
