I was compelled to pay tribute, today, to the many who lost their lives on 9/11/01.  The events on that day have had a far reaching impact, not only on the families who grieve for loved ones lost, but for the United States as a whole.  It’s pain has reached across geographic and demographic lines and has continued through the passing of time.  Today, Patriot Day, we reflect on those whose lives were tragically cut short; those who selflessly gave their lives; and celebrate our heroes in uniform, who continue to protect our freedoms.  May we always remember.
